Waleed kanoush.. Current Head of the (Fine Arts Sector), born in Al-Beheira Governorate in April 1972, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting Department 1994, Master in Fine Arts Specialization: Painting 2002 in a research (Political and Social Changes and Their Impact on Contemporary Egyptian Painting from 1952 to 1973) supervised by Pr.Dr. Hamed Owais, Phd in Philosophy in Fine Arts, Specialization: Painting 2006 in a research (Modern Egyptian Painting from 1973 to 2000) supervised by Pr.Dr. Mustafa Abdel Moti, was appointed as a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts Alexandria University in 1996 and was included in the faculty positions until head of the Department in 2020. He was assigned as the Director of the Freedom Center for Creativity at the Ministry of Culture from September 2011 to December 2022. He was assigned many scientific and academic tasks and participated in the development of materials and curricula, he had a number of study and research literatures and supervised many master's and doctoral theses. So far, he has published researches in many international conferences inside and outside Egypt. He participated in the jury committees of many artistic competitions. An active artist in the artistic field has 10 personal exhibitions and participated in many collective events, and international art events outside the country. He was also represented Egypt at the Biennale of Ecuador 2012. He participated by his artworks besides a lecture at the Fine Arts Festival 14 in the city of Fez, Morocco 2014, during his career received many awards and honors, most notably the first prize in painting, the fifteenth Youth Salon 2003, the honorable mention award - the National Port Said Biennial - Victory Forum - 2007, Alexandria University Prize for Scientific Encouragement 2018, and its name also includes a number of important artists and scientists , and has many artworks at the Museum of Modern Art, the Fine Arts Sector, the General organization of Cultural Palaces, besides many individuals and forums in Egypt and the world. He also has many work of art related to architecture and interior design in a large number of private residential institutions and facilities.
